The KAI 7280 is the XL version of the professional 7000 series with 11.5 inch (280 mm) blade length. Designed for large-area cutting in the garment industry and industrial textile processing where every additional millimeter of blade reduces the number of cuts needed per fabric run. The additional leverage makes cutting long runs noticeably less tiring.
The KAI 7000 series was awarded the iF Design Award 2005. The patented Duplex Interlock screw keeps the tension adjustment precise even after years – a key factor on scissors of this size, as minor tension loss becomes quickly noticeable over 280 mm of blade. Stainless AUS8A steel at 58 HRC for long edge retention.
