And that’s a good thing – because this is how particularly durable cutting solutions are created, capable of withstanding the highest demands.

ROBUSO

Solingen/Germany

ROBUSO is the brand for our premium quality, which far exceeds the quality standards of the SOLINGEN law and DIN regulations. Depending on the model, ROBUSO scissors are hot-forged from steel or C60 carbon steel with a high degree of purity. For these outstanding industrial scissors, only C60 steel with particularly high carbon content is used. The scissors achieve a hardness of 57-59 HRC, which guarantees exceptionally high cutting edge retention. After the forged raw material has been hardened, the scissor blades are pre-ground inside and out on modern wet grinding machines, with a distinct hollow grind produced on the inside. The degree of manual work is between 80 - 85%.

And that’s a good thing – because this is how particularly durable cutting solutions are created, capable of withstanding the highest demands.

Afterwards, experienced grinders sharpen and fine-polish (=precision grinding) the scissor blades and shanks by hand, inside and out. The ground steel surface is then refined by high-gloss nickel-plating the scissor rings, shanks, and, in some models, the blades. To create an extremely sharp cutting edge, the nickel is then ground away again from the inside of the blades. Both scissor parts are then screwed together with exceptional care by the assembler. The scissors are aligned and the cutting edge sharpened. Grinders and assemblers ensure the typical even, smooth action of ROBUSO scissors. Finally, each pair undergoes a meticulous 100% final inspection. Every scissor is tested on the material it is intended to cut: calico, lining silk, ultra-thin curtain fabric, glass and carbon fiber, aramid. It is checked whether they cut flawlessly from the back to the very tip without pressure. That is why our ROBUSO scissors can rightfully claim the grade “Master Quality.”

ROBUR

Solingen/Germany

ROBUR is quality “Made in Germany” and partially corresponds to SOLINGEN quality. The cutting tools are generally forged and hardened from standard steel and well finished. The proportion of manual work is around 40%. Scissors with painted handles are black lacquered. Our ROBUR range focuses on the most common types.

PELLORO Scissors

PELLORO scissors are imported from abroad, inspected by us, and improved if necessary. This is an economy quality, which is also reflected in the price. The proportion of manual work is around 20%. Scissors with painted handles are black lacquered.
